After years of hearing family and friends say, "you missed your calling," I moved from my home state of West Virginia to San Diego to study at Mueller College of Holistic Massage Therapies. It was here that I discovered the immense satisfaction that comes from using my gifted touch to free clients from their pain. Following graduation and passing the exam for National Certification in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, I became licensed to practice massage in both West Virginia and the City of San Diego.
While living in San Diego, I worked simultaneously for the prestigious Cassidy's Massage Clinic (voted Best Massage Clinic in the city 6 years in a row) and SmartPerk, a company which provides corporate chair massage throughout the San Diego area. Returning to West Virginia, I opened That's the Spot! in January, 2008, operating out of rented space inside the Wood Rehab & Fitness Center on Rt. 2 in Moundsville.
Helping my clients find relief from acute and chronic pain is the focus of my practice. Drawing on my intuition as well as my training and skills in Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, and Cranio-Sacral Therapy, clients soon experience stress relief, tension release, reduction in pain, and ultimately, better health. Under the guidance of my touch, clients have been freed from years of chronic pain; posture has been straightened resulting in a measurable increase in height; and overall health improves, leading to a general improvement in your quality and enjoyment of life.
