Before Yemen’s political and security situation began to worsen, tourism was a growing industry.

Visitors eager to learn about its history and culture came to the Middle Eastern country from around the world.

Today, however - after a violent uprising against the government last year and a continuing rebellion in the south, the numbers are at an all-time low.
