Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow video game review of Street Fighter II: Special Champion Edition for the Sega Genesis, from Capcom. The first Street Fighter game to be released for the Sega Genesis has similar features to the Super Nintendo port titled Street Fighter II Turbo, but with a few minor differences. This game can also be credited with pushing the release of a six button Genesis controller that would eventually become the system's standard, and certainly has an important place in Street Fighter II release history despite an overabundance of versions and ports of the classic arcade fighting game. This review features Street Fighter II: Special Champion Edition gameplay footage and commentary from CGRundertow reviewer Kevin.
