A slice of royalty hits the auction block.
Two hats worn by Kate Middleton - now the Duchess of Cambridge - are set to go under the hammer.
The 'Passion for Fashion' auction includes an autographed hat worn by Michael Jackson and a dress owned by Elizabeth Taylor, but the stars of the show are the two black straw hats once worn by the future princess.
Now that Kate has married into the royal family, auction houses will be unable to put her clothing up for sale, unless she authorizes a charity auction.
Auctioneer Kerry Taylor says this is a rare opportunity to own a slice of Middleton style.
SOUNDBITE: Kerry Taylor, auctioneer, saying (English):
"We have two of them - one that's by Philip Somerville, a black and white one that she wore when William was made, he was presented with the Order of the Garter by Her Majesty in 2008. And she was photographed giggling with Prince Harry watching on, I think she got in to trouble for giggling on that occasion."
The second was worn to the wedding of Harry Meade, a friend of the couple, in October 2010.
Other highlights of the sale include elaborate capes designed by Alexander McQueen for his Autumn-Winter 2010 collection, his last before he died.
The auction will take place on June 26th.
