From the Oscar-winning team behind Man On Wire comes the story of Nim, the chimpanzee, who, in the 1970s, became the focus of a landmark experiment. The aim was to show that an ape could learn to communicate with language. The method? Raising and rearing Nim like a human child -- complete with breast feeding and nappy changing. As we see Nim grow from a cute ball of fluff to a powerful beast with a taste for fast cars and smoking weed, we get an insight into both the animal and human kingdoms. Empire sat down with director James Marsh to find out more about his moving, insightful documentary. http://www.empireonline.com/interviews/interview.asp?IID=1328
