Blades Of Time review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Blades Of Time from Gaijin Entertainment and Konami for the PlayStation 3. Blades Of Time is a follow up to their 2009 title X-Blades. Blades Of Time is a familiar hack-and-slash action game. Think Goddess Of War, basically. You control the alluring Ayumi on her journey into an alternate dimension, where she hunts for treasure and her lost mentor. Things get interesting when Ayumi is given the ability to manipulate time. She can hit rewind on the temporal plane, and it basically makes multiple clones of herself. So the game tries to combine clone-based time manipulation with Ayumi's extensive offensive arsenal to create really unique combat mechanics. But Blades Of Time drops the ball in terms of execution.
