Air Travel - Paying Extra for Getting Off First - as part of the news series by GeoBeats.

As soon as our flight lands, we just went to get out of that plane.

A recent study by Airfarewatchdog.com found that 16% percent of survey participants would be ok with paying an additional fee to de-board a plane first.

Although the majority was against paying anymore fees to the airlines, 10% would be willing to pay $10 dollars and 3% would pay as much as $20 dollars.

Currently, many airlines offer passengers the ability to board first, so why not offer a quicker exit? While surprised by the survey results, Airfarewatchdog's creator says "They're willing to pay to board early and sit in those uncomfortable seats, so why wouldn't they pay for the reverse, to get out of those uncomfortable seats?'

For some travelers, the advantage of getting off the plane first may be worth the money in order to catch a connecting flight.

No air service is offering such an option, but it may not be far off considering some of the past standard services, such as free carry-on baggage and pet carriers now come for a fee and have helped to increase airline revenues by millions.

How much would you be willing to pay to get off first?
