Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Ristar from SEGA for the SEGA Genesis. Ristar shares a lot in common with Sonic the Hedgehog in terms of aesthetics and level design, but they embrace an entirely different set of gameplay principles. Where the Sonic games focus on running through the levels as quickly as possible, Ristar is a much slower game — in fact, it's more in line with traditional platformers, and that leads to a host of advantages.
