Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow video game review of Mass Effect from Bioware for Xbox 360 from November 2007. You play as Commander Shepard, a celebrated soldier in the year 2183 who is stationed aboard the SSV Normandy. In the 35 years since humans have mastered interstellar travel due to the discovery of long-buried technology on Mars, humans have been expanding at a pace reminiscent of when Europe first discovered the Americas. It just so happens that humanity isn't the first to do this though and must now answer to a council on a giant space station known as the Citadel. After reporting there, it isn't long before Shepard is caught up in an intergalactic plot centuries old that only he and his crack crew can save the galaxy from.
