A Syrian human rights group says security forces have killed at least 27 people in the latest crackdown on anti-government protesters.
Officers used live ammunition, tear gas and water cannon on the protesters, as tanks entered areas of the northwest.
Yet despite the government's brutal crackdown, Syrians continue to take to the street to call for a new government.
