South Sudan says its northern Unity State is being hit by sustained Sudanese air attacks.
 
Sudan previously maintained it is not attacking civilian areas in the South.
 
South Sudan earlier said it fought off an offensive by Sudanese troops, near the disputed border oil town of Heglig. Al Jazeera's Nazanine Moshiri updates from Juba.
