Peshawar city and province in northwest Pakistan has seen a high number of attacks since the killing of Osama bin Laden.

Recently, soldiers killed three Taliban fighters after an attack on a checkpoint.

The province's police chief says despite the heavy casualties suffered by his force, his men are determined to continue the fight.
