Back on the streets in Yemen.

Tens of thousands of protesters gather in front of the residence of Yemen's President demanding the removal of former President Ali Abdullah Saleh's relatives from key positions.

Saleh stepped down in February after months of pro-democracy protests.

His son and nephew remain in control of the Republican guard and Central Security forces.

(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) PROTESTER, ABDULRAGEEB OBAD, SAYING:

"We want to tell the world if the French revolution lasted seven years, we will continue for seventy years. We are serious about seizing our rights, especially relating to the resignation of the rest of the family members and we are determined to achieve the rest of the goals of the peaceful revolution."

During the uprising that toppled Saleh, militants associated with al Qaeda strengthened their positions in the south and east.

Yemen's location next to leading oil exporter Saudi Arabia and extending across key world shipping routes has heightened regional and Western concern over its security problems.
