"Expendables 2" hits London, Robert Pattinson surfaces

The veterans of Hollywood action films hit the red carpet in London to promote "The Expendables 2." Arnold Schwarzenegger, who is returning to the screen after his tenure as Governor of California, joined up with Dolph Lundgren, and Jean Claude Van Damme for the premiere. Notably absent was co-star Sylvester Stallone, who has kept a low profile since the sudden death of his son in July.

The "Rocky" star did finally speak to the media, telling US morning TV show "Good Morning America" that says he is trying to get back to living his life and that 'it's a horrible situation.'

Robert Pattinson made his first public appearance since his reported split from girlfriend Kristen Stewart. The "Twilight" star has laid low since news broke that Kristen Stewart cheated on him with married director Rupert Sanders. The 26-year-old Pattinson walked the red carpet for his upcoming film "Cosmopolis" in New York on Monday (August 13) and then rang the opening bell on the NY Stock Exchange on Tuesday morning (August 14).

Taylor Swift announced on Monday (August 13) that she is releasing her fourth studio album. The record, entitled "Red," is set to hit shelves on October 22. The 22 year old singer held a live web chat to make the announcement, previewing the first single, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together."

Actor Ron Palillo, who played class joker Arnold Horshack in the 1970s TV comedy series "Welcome Back, Kotter," died on Tuesday (August 14). According to celebrity website TMZ, the 63 year old Palillo died of an apparent heart attack at his home near Palm Beach, Florida. Palillo played Horshack for four years in the 1975-79 ABC comedy, which also starred John Travolta.
