Aug 20: `Pro-Khalistan’ activists in western countries continue with anti-India propaganda even though the movement for a Sikh state died a natural death some time back. In August 2012, an America based pro-Khalistan group “Sikhs for Justice” targeted the Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal on his visit to the US through a federal civil lawsuit by holding him “guilty” of the torture of Sikhs and “defending notorious” police officers “before the courts.” Sikhs in India dismissed the move as “a cheap and desperate publicity stunt”.
