Turkey has restricted traffic across its border with Syria after the Free Syrian Army rebel fighters took control of the Bab al-Hawa crossing from President Bashar al-Assad's forces.

Drivers were warned that they were crossing the border at their own risk and that they may not be able to return back to Turkey.

The flow of Syrian refugees into Turkey, however, continues to rise, unabated by who controls the border.
