West Nile virus kills 3 in Houston

A plane takes off in Houston, Texas, its mission to prevent the spread of West Nile Virus.

Authorities here began aerial spraying on Wednesday after finding the virus killed three Houston residents.

The virus was also found in 300 mosquito samples and nearly 100 dead birds.

The plane will spray insecticide over the city for five hours in an effort to kill mosquitos responsible for spreading the deadly disease.
