With a master's in Fashion and Technology from Paris and Milan, Sanchita is the creative director of Sanfab India Pvt Ltd. A workshop with Issey Miyake, research on Indian heritage textiles, experience with Romeo Gigli and Lee McQueen has enabled her along with her brother to set-up a European business model. She shuttles between Europe and India, is chairperson for the IICCI, Bangalore and Goa and a consultant for various European Luxury brands. She's been offered a Blender's Pride show at the LFW to create magic.
"The men's collection was inspired by the native American Indian. It has a wide range of hand crafted resort wear. A man should not look like he spends too much time thinking about what to wear. The clothes need to be understated and subdued," Sanchita said.
The women's wear consisted of a lot of metallic black, gold and chiffons with magnificent embellishment.
Sanchita described the women's wear collection as the "Fire Bird" line.
"My collection is inspired by the legendary ballet called Fire Bird. It talks about the multiple aspects of a woman's life," the designer said.
The collection included a gorgeous range of cocktail dresses, gowns and miniskirts.
The designer said that though her collection has been made in India, it is "compatible with any place in the world".
Bollywood celebrities Ira Dubey, Richa Chadha and Simon Singh were present at the show.
