The owner of http://www.immortalitea.com takes you to his kitchen to demonstrate how he likes to brew Jiaogulan Tea (aka, Gynostemma Tea). He emphasizes the 3-T's, tea, time and temperature.

Tea: Of course use the best loose leaf jiaogulan you can find.
Time: Good jiaogulan does not need to be brewed a long time to make a tasty cup of tea. Too much brewing time will make the tea bitter. Start with a brew time of 2 minutes and then adjust upwards to suit your personall preference.
Temperature: Jiaogulan will also get bitter if the temperature is too high. Jiaogulan is best brewed with water that is not yet boiling.
