The latest figures to emerge from Britain show that unemployment has risen to its highest rate in 15 years, with the number of young people without a job moving above the one million mark.
A group of unemployed youths has marched 500km, down from the northeast of England to London, as a deliberate and direct echo of the famous Jarrow march of 1936, when 200 unemployed men marched to plead for work during the depression.
