Cabin crew at German carrier Lufthansa have gone ahead with an eight-hour strike over pay.

Workers say they are angry at plans to limit salary increases and switch some staff to less generous contracts.

It's not known how many of the company's 19,000 flight attendants will take part in the walk-out.

Flights in and out of Frankfurt airport are expected to be most affected.
