Kofi Annan, the UN-Arab League envoy to Syria, has warned that the country has warned that the country is slipping into "all-out" war.

Speaking at an Arab League meeting in the Qatari capital, Doha, Annan said the crisis had reached a turning point, and was becoming a sectarian conflict.
