The 3rd edition of McKidd Discusses and this is quite short noticed, but with a debate going on with the Department for Transport (DfT) with certain travel aspects going on, I've decided to give out my thoughts on one of them.
Yep, this is a response to the new franchise for the West Coast Main Line, the longest running rail line in the UK. Recently, Virgin Trains have lost the WCML in favour of FirstGroup, but VT didn't want this to happen and criticised the deal of FG that the Department for Transport wanted to make, so with a public petition and a court battle to get the deal signing called off, I will explain why Virgin wanted to remain on the WCML with the help of some articles posted on the Media Room section of the operator's website.
