Steps
1 Choose Your Name. - The most important part of forming an LLC is finding the right name. The name you choose will be your brand, so make sure not only to pick a good name, make sure it has not been taken by searching the Iowa LLC Database.
2 Go to The State's Website. - You will need to follow the instructions and complete the online Articles of Organization.
Pay $50 Filing Fee.
3 Wait. - You will receive your official LLC in the mail within 5-7 business days.
4 Apply for EIN Number. - Do you have more than 1 Member or will be getting a bank account for your LLC? If so, you will be needing an Employer Identification Number (EIN, and often referred to as a 'Tax ID Number')
