Bradley Cooper and Zoe Saldana added starpower to the red carpet for Tuesday night's (September 04) premiere of the romantic drama, "The Words."
Castmates Dennis Quaid, Jeremy Irons and Ben Barnes also showed up for the Los Angeles premiere of the film.
"The Words" is a multi-layered romantic drama that centers on Rory Jansen (Cooper), a talented writer with a beautiful wife (Saldana), who faces mounting internal and external pressure to achieve success. What he chooses to do in order to fulfill his ambition has the potential to cost him everything, and he soon finds himself repeating the mistakes of someone in the past. Now, the worlds of two men living in different times threaten to converge as both are forced to confront the steep price that must be paid for placing ambition before love.
Cooper explained that the film's complex storyline evolved into something powerful.
SOUNDBITE Bradley Cooper saying (English):
"In the process of making the movie I realized that I really enjoyed it. The cast was insane to work with, wonderful scenes and it was really well written. There is some magical moments in it. They really captured something, these guys. I feel it is a really romantic movie, it went way beyond the plot points that you are talking about. There is something about the feeling of this film that I am happy to be a part of."
Written and directed by Cooper's childhood friends, Brian Klugman and Lee Sternthal, "The Words" opens in the U.S. on September 07.
