Emma Watson arrived on the red carpet Monday night (September 10) in Los Angeles for the premiere of the high school drama, "The Perks of Being a Wall Flower."
The actress, best known for her work in the "Harry Potter" franchise, took time out to meet with fans and pose for photos before walking the arrival line to discuss her new film.
Based on the best-selling novel by Stephen Chbosky, "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," is a modern classic that captures the dizzying highs and crushing lows of growing up. In addition to Watson, who plays a high school senior who befriends a lonely freshman, the film also stars Logan Lerman and Ezra Miller. "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" details a moving tale of love, loss, fear and hope-and the unforgettable friends that help us through life.
SOUNDBITE Emma Watson saying (English):
"I think everyone has a 'wallflower' in them. I think everyone can relate to the causes in the movie. I think everyone, when they see the movie, it really will be a sense of nostalgia, no matter what age you are to have to go through adolescence. It is not easy for anyone...no one comes out of it alive."
Chbosky, who also earned directing credits on the film, said he was influenced by the classic 1980's films like the "Dead Poet's Society" and the "Breakfast Club."
"The Perks of Being a Wallflower" opens in the U.S. on September 21.
