Deferred adjudication does not exist in Texas. The legislature and madd mothers have lobbied successfully to prohibit deferred adduction for dwi. However certain counties will reduce a DWI to an obstruction. Or a reckless driving. You can get a deferred adjudication there. Also Harris county has a divert program, it smells like deferred adjudication and looks like deferred adjudication but it's a duck by another name. It's called divert.
