At a pre-trial hearing here at Guantanamo Bay, the man accused of masterminding the September 11 attacks has spoken out against America.
Khalid Sheik Mohammed told the court the U.S. government had killed many more people than the 9/11 hijackers.
Dressed in a camouflage vest, Mohammed accused the U.S. of sending thousands to their deaths in the name of national security.
Relatives of 9/11 victims were in court for the hearing.
Mohammed appeared alongside four others accused of recruiting and funding the hijackers.
All five could face the death penalty if convicted.
