Coming up today on Nick’s Gaming View, PlayStation Vita trophies integrated within the PS3 operating system, PlayStation Plus subscribers receive Need for Speed: Most Wanted discount, and Borderlands 2 issues gameplay enhancing patch, THIS IS NICK’S GAMING VIEW!
Hello everyone and welcome to Nick’s Gaming View, you are here with your host, Nick McCandless. After floods of consumer feedback on Sony’s current trophy system and how it’s displayed within the PlayStation 3’s operating system, Sony has announced PS3 firmware update 4.30 delivering a display system allowing users to view their Vita trophies earned on their PS3s. As a minor change, Sony will also be moving the Trophies Collection to under PlayStation Network on the XMB simplifying the operating system. While this may not be a huge update, it’s certainly welcomed as Sony struggles to get the Vita on its feet.
Continuing on PlayStation, those subscribed to PlayStation Plus are in for yet another solid delivery of content and discounts as Electronic Arts’ latest racer, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, will come at a discount for those who digitally pre-order the title before its October 30th release. Discounted to $53.99, the 10% discount is a great offering for those subscribed to Sony’s premium tier of the PlayStation Network to go along with the exclusive timed trial for Medal of Honor: Warfighter and the various other discounts, once again justifying the $49.99 price point for a year subscription.
Wrapping up today’s news, Borderlands 2 has received a new patch addressing and improving various gameplay flaws. Version 1.2 of Borderlands 2 has officially fixed incorrect ammo direction with certain weapons, numerous co-op hiccups such as inconsistent spawn positions, improved the vendor user interface, and many other fixes and improves to enrich the already incredible experience that Gearbox Software has delivered with Borderlands 2.
