Ukraine's opposition parties are protesting in central Kiev over allegations of vote-rigging in the country's recent parliamentary election.

They accuse President Viktor Yanukovich and his Party of Regions of fixing the vote to win roughly a third of ballots cast.

Jailed former premier Yuila Tymoshenko is on hunger strike over the alleged fraud.
