This is the story of Qadianis and John Smyth-Pigott. Mr. Pigott, an Englishman, claimed to be the second coming of Christ and thus became a claimant of Divinity -- and was the target of the media of the time. The founder of the Qadiani religion also claimed to be the same thing, minus the Divinity, and took offence to a rival claim and predicted Pigott's death.
