Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
1 cup (250 mL) butter, softened
1 cup (250 mL) packed brown sugar
½ cup (125 mL) granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tbsp (15 mL) vanilla
2⅓ cups (575 mL) AP flour
1 tsp (5 mL) baking soda
½ tsp (2 mL) salt
2 cups (500 mL) semisweet chocolate chips

Method
In bowl, cream together butter & sugars until fluffy. Beat in eggs, 1 at a time; beat in vanilla. Whisk together flour, baking soda and salt; stir into butter mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.

Drop by rounded 1 tbsp onto baking sheets.

Bake in 375°F (190°C) oven until edges are golden, 8 to 10 minutes. Let cool on baking pan on a cooling rack for 5 minutes; then transfer to racks and cool completely.
