The Alabama Crimson Tide will face the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC Conference Championship Game from NCAA college football on Saturday afternoon. Kick off time from a neutral field at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta is scheduled for 4PM Eastern Time with national television coverage provided by CBS.

This will be the first meeting between Alabama and Georgia since way back in the 2008 season where the Crimson Tide earned the 41-30 road win as a +6 ½ point underdog. McCarron hit on 15 of 21 passes for 216 yards and four touchdowns. McCarron completes 67% of his throws with 25 touchdowns and two picks. Alabama defense allowed Auburn to gain 163 offensive yards with 92 from their ground attack for 3 yards per rush. The Crimson Tide is the top defense in college football allowing 233 yards a game. They allow just 9 points a game. Their only loss came in a 29-24 home loss to Texas A&M. The loss came after an emotional win at LSU.
Georgia is on a six game win streak since a 35-7 road defeat at South Carolina. They beat Georgia Tech last week 42-10 as a -14 ½ point favorite. The total went under 64 points. The Bulldogs stormed to the 28-3 lead at the half. The Georgia offense gained 379 yards with 164 coming from their run game for nearly 5 ½ yards a carry. Aaron Murray hit on 14 of 17 passes for 215 yards and two touchdowns. The junior Murray has 30 touchdowns and 7 picks on the year. Georgia allowed the Georgia Tech offense to deliver 426 yards with 306 running for 4 ½ yards per attempt. The only loss for Georgia this season came in a 35-7 defeat at South Carolina. The Gamecocks like the Crimson Tide is a smash mouth team. Georgia didn’t handle the physical bone crunching shots they felt from the South Carolina defenders.
