In 2007, a special center for the Mars-500 project was built at the Institute for Medical and Biological Studies in Moscow. Its purpose is to study the physical and psychological state of the crew in conditions of a simulated flight to Mars. In fact, it is a model, imitating conditions inside an interplanetary space ship. However, people taking part in the experiment will not be influenced by all factors relating to outer space.
