Two sisters are arrested after they pocket dialed a hotel that they had robbed.
It's rare that thieves make mistakes. Now, you seriously don't believe that do you? Case in point.
Two sisters were recently arrested for allegedly robbing a hotel in Naples.
According to the front desk clerk at the hotel, a woman dressed in grey walked in and indicated that she had a weapon and demanded money from the cash register. Once the female robber left the hotel, the clerk called police from her cell phone.
While she was on the phone with emergency operators, the hotel phone rang. The employee picked up that phone and heard two females talking about the robbery. She recognized both voices: one belonged to the suspect, the other was a woman who was fired from the hotel several days prior.
Apparently one of the woman had pocket dialed the hotel’s line. The two ladies, who turned out to be sisters were charged with robbery and petit theft.
This certainly isn’t the first botched criminal job. Earlier this year, 42-year-old, Terry Smith got into a taxi and tried to grab the driver's wallet and mobile phone but failed as the victim was not releasing them without a fight.
The suspect ran off, but the driver soon discovered that Smith left his own wallet behind. The wallet was handed over to police, who quickly arrested Smith.
