Venezuela's vice-president delivered the news of Hugo Chavez's latest health complications in an official statement.
He said the new problems were linked to a respiratory infection diagnosed during treatment for cancer in Cuba.

"Nineteen days after undergoing surgery President Chavez's state of health continues to be delicate with complications that are being attended to in a process that is not without risks."
Chavez, seen here during his 2012 election campaign, is undergoing treatment for an unspecified cancer in the pelvic area.
The 58-year-old leader hasn't been seen in public nor heard from in three weeks.
Vice-President Nicolas Maduro says he'll be staying in Havana while his boss's condition evolves.
