A landslide hit the province of West Sumatra on Sunday (January 27), killing 11 people and leaving nine others missing, officials said.
At least 15 houses were also buried in the avalanche.
Local media said it was caused by torrential rain on Sunday morning.
Another six people were killed when a separate landslide at a drilling field in Jambi Province.
Floods and landslides are common in Indonesia, as many parts of the archipelago see heavy rains during the annual wet season.
