Japan's government will not continue stimulus spending "forever", Shinzo Abe, the prime minister, has said in a policy speech previewing a budget that will raise more in taxes than it does from borrowing.
Al Jazeera's Harry Fawcett, reporting from the South Korea capital Seoul, said that with Abe's policy declaration, the government hopes the Japanese currency will weaken, making it easier for manufacturers to export in the global market.
