Dispelling the Myth of 'Busyness'
Hi! I'm Christiane Holbrook, founder of Sacred Productivity.
We are really here to help you become a more inspired team leader, to get more done and to help virtual assistants become more inspired team members.
So today, really the question is - Is busyness equals productivity?
Are you an entrepreneur who really wants to expand the business but you are just too busy juggling all your tasks?
Maybe you are solopreneur who runs the business alone and does everything by himself?
or maybe you are the kind of person who feels and likes to keep himself busy and works so hard thinking that that maybe is most productive.
But the question really is -- What is truly productive?
In this presentation, I will show you why being busy with so many things isn't helping you, instead it's just delaying the success.
I will show you how you can fast track your progress in reaching your goals and eventually make your impact, income and regaining your freedom in the world.
Read on for an eye opener on the myth of busyness.
As somebody who grew up in a hardworking family, I knew what it was like to work so hard. At an early age of 8, I was already working in my Dad's shoe store. I continued to work this hard even during my marriage, much to the delight of my husband who worked even harder.
After some time building my own business, I realized I was losing my own vision. I was getting tired. All the hard work took its toll on me. And that was despite having worked for years on my purpose and my mission and my mission statement and my brand. It was just - I couldn't feel it anymore.
I was actually too busy to live my life. I've come to the realization that I had been too busy to even live my life. I even came to a point when sitting still made me feel guilty and I was feeling like a slacker when I read a book.
It wasn't the kind of productivity that would help me reach my goals and accomplish my mission.
As a heart-centered social entrepreneur, I wanted to make an impact in the world, but I've learned that I couldn't accomplish that if I kept working this hard.
I then made a decision to get help. I knew I needed a team to help me carry out my mission, reach my goals and make an impact. I needed people who could do the tasks that I wasn't good at. The crazy, busy days needed to end.
I was a typical solopreneur, I had worked alone and learned it all -- learning new courses, learning new skills, website creation, video creation, the how to's seemed endless. and it was eating up my precious execution time.
I was actually too busy to do the essential.
I was too busy doing all that while all of the wisdom that I come to convey to you now ended up stuck inside of me as
"to be done later";
"to be produced later"; or
"to move into next year".
So yes, I decided to get help and a year later, I have my sacred virtual team helping me carry out my mission.
