STORY: Dozens of students met in front of Ministry of Education in the Tunisian capital Friday afternoon to dance the Harlem Shake.

Students said the gathering was a way for people to express themselves.

In the past week in Tunisia there has been a wave of Harlem Shake dances in high schools and colleges. Despite concern that conservative Salfists would crack down on Friday's mass dance, there was no attempt to break up the gathering. Such happenings in the past week have been broken up, sometimes violently.

The Harlem Shake dance craze that has been sweeping the globe hit Tunisia last week when Peres-Blancs students, a high school in a wealthy suburb of Tunis, broadcast on the internet the first Tunisian Harlem Shake.
