Outrage on the streets of Yemen

Hundreds of demonstrators take to the streets of Yemen.

They are demanding action against ousted President Ali Abdullah Saleh.

The protest comes as 39 countries are attending the Yemen Conference in London to discuss how to best spend almost 8 billion dollars pledged to help Yemen last year.

One woman is calling for justice.

. (SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) PROTESTER, MANAL AL-ZABIDI, SAYING:

"We took to the street today to call for the stripping of Saleh's immunity so that the blood of martyrs that was spilled during this revolution, will not be wasted. All that blood will not be wasted by time, all those who committed this crime must be punished."

Protests against the U.S. and Saudi backed power transfer deal which offered Saleh immunity in exchange for stepping down in 2011 take place on a regular basis.

Last year the government agreed to set up a commissionto look into violations committed during the uprising. But that is cold comfort to those on the
