Nicolas Maduro is sworn in as acting president of Venezuela, just hours after Hugo Chavez was laid to rest.
As chosen successor to the late leader, Maduro now leads an interim government before fresh elections can be held.
He's called on officials to hold the vote immediately.
While supporters welcomed his appointment, some opposition members boycotted the ceremony.
Opponents accuse the government of using Chavez's death for political gain.
Maduro is expected to run for office against Henrique Capriles, who lost to Chavez in last year's election.
An polling date is expected to be called on Saturday (March 9).
