Youth killed in firing in Srinagar

A 22-year-old youth was killed on Wednesday (March 13) when CRPF personnel allegedly opened fire after coming under attack by a group of stone pelters in Srinagar. The vehicle of CRPF personnel was on its way to SKIMS hospital, where the victims of this morning's Bemina terror attack are admitted, when it came under attack in Zoonimar area, sources said. Altaf Hussain Wani was hit by a bullet in the chest when CRPF personnel allegedly opened fire to clear a road of stone pelters in interior city en route to SKIMS hospital, they said. Wani was rushed to SKIMS hospital in a critical condition and succumbed soon after.
