Saints Row IV confirmed, Hideo Kojima explains vision for Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, and Miyamoto explains why Luigi’s Mansion 2 will not make its way to Wii U, THIS IS NICK’S GAMING VIEW!
Hello everyone and welcome to Nick’s Gaming View, you are here with your host, Nick McCandless. Less than two weeks after I stated Saints Row IV would make an appearance during PAX East 2013, Deep Silver, the new publisher of the Saints Row brand, has confirmed the release with a teaser trailer and release date. Announced for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, Saints Row IV will be releasing in North America on August 20th of this year and the rest of the world on August 23rd. Continuing the story of the Third Street Saints, their status has been raised to the highest level making them leaders of the free world due to the head honcho being elected as the new President of the United States. Switching up the game, Saints Row IV will feature an arsenal of alien weaponry and technology allowing for outrageous destruction and out-of-this-world superpowers. Players will be able to use these superpowers to leap over buildings, outrun high-speed cars, send enemies flying via telekinesis, and many more abilities that have yet to be announced. As a fan of the Saints Row franchise, I never thought what was accomplished with the third release could be topped, but according to these details and the teaser, I just may be wrong.
With GDC just a couple weeks away and gamers around the world eagerly waiting for Kojima’s panel set to announce many details and answer many questions, Kojima has ignited the fire yet again by stating with Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes “What I want to do is create a true open world where the player has all these options available to them and really limitless gameplay.” Over the past couple days Kojima has continued to ignite the hype for the next Metal Gear Solid release and to say he has a large percentage of the industry waiting on him to announce the juicy details, is a massive understatement.
Wrapping up Nick’s Gaming View, Shigeru Miyamoto, Nintendo’s legendary video game designer and producer has announced why Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, the successor to the original Luigi’s Mansion, will not be making an appearance on Nintendo’s latest console, the Wii U. The thought of developing Luigi’s Mansion on a 3D screen was a thought Miyamoto claims to have been developed during the development of the original Luigi’s Mansion on the GameCube. Thanks to the capability now being possible thanks to Nintendo’s 3DS handheld, Miyamoto doesn’t want to stray away from his vision and deliver the game he imagined more than a decade ago.
