Syrian refugees reach safety in Lebanon after a long ride fleeing violence near the Golan Heights.

At least 150 have fled into Lebanon's Shebaa region as tension escalates near Syria's ceasefire line with Israel.

Refugees arriving on Thursday said their homes are being bombarded.

They say more towns could be taken and claim government forces are shelling civilians.

Concern in Israel is growing that peace in the sensitive military zone could be threatened.

U.N. peacekeepers monitoring the ceasefire line have halted patrols after observers were seized by rebels for a number of days earlier this month.
