Italian Foreign Minister Giulio Terzi has resigned in protest at a decision to send two marines back to India to face trial for murder.
"My reservations about sending the marines back were not listened to," he told the lower house of parliament.

The marines allegedly murdered two Indian fisherman during anti-piracy duty in February last year.
