Washington State residents say they were woken up by a thundering boom -- as a landslide shifted parts of this Whidby Island community

Stunned locals assessed the sharp dropoff created by the early morning ground swell.
There were no injuries, but the landslide cut off power and water supply to the area. Authorities are encouraging to residents to evacuate their homes as they wait for the ground to settle.
