Red Faction: Battlegrounds is a major change for the series. The series that started as a first person shooter and later became a third person shooter, now enters the realm of vehicle combat. The game has a big focus on multiplayer, be it either online or off. There are also solo challenges that can be completed. Doing the challenges and winning matches will earn the player experience points that have them go up in level, thus unlocking new vehicles and powers. The game leaves much to be desired, especially for fans of the series.
