A dawn shooting rampage leaves this small Serbian village in shock.
The gunman shot dead 13 people, including his mother, son and a two-year-old child, southwest of the capital Belgrade.
One local woman shows a photo of some of the victims -- authorities say most were shot in the head as they slept.
The suspected gunman, Ljubisa Bogdanovic, also shot his wife before turning the 9 mm pistol on himself - both are in critical condition.
Another resident of Velika Ivanca village described the 60-year-old war veteran as a trusted neighbour.
(SOUNDBITE) (Serbian) NEIGHBOUR, MILOVAN KONSTATINOVIC, SAYING:
"He is a good man there is no one who would not open a door to him," he says. "He was helping all, so he rang, door was opened, he went in, and killed. Who knows, something went wrong in his head."
Authorities said the suspect and his son were laid off in 2012, while his uncle and father had both committed suicide several years earlier.
