The very first Orbital Sciences Antares rocket launched today, April 21st 2013 at 21:00 UTC after years on planning, design, construction and testing. This Antares was a test flight carrying a dummy Cygnus Spacecraft. The real Cygnus Spacecraft - to launch on the next flight - will carry cargo to the International Space Station becoming the second commercial partner in the US to do so, after SpaceX.
